During 1834 – 1835 The Duchess of Kent and her daughter Princess Victoria stayed at 57 Marina. After they left this building became known as Victoria House.
After Victoria’s coronation in 1838 this building was renamed again as Crown House.
Queen Victoria remained on the throne until 1901 and was Great Britain’s longest reigning monarch for many years until her reign was exceeded by Queen Elizabeth II.
